The terminal at Cali Airport

Cali Airport is the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport, and it serves the city of Cali and the south-west of Colombia. The airport is in the city of Palmira, in the Valle del Cauca, and it is administered by the Aeronautica Civil of Colombia, which took over the operation on September 1, 2025.

There is one terminal. Inside it, the airport's own site lists the services of interest: the WiFi, the food area, the shops and the other services, the baggage service and the financial entities, where you can change money or use an ATM.

Getting to and from Cali Airport

The airport's own page has the block called Cómo llegar, with the map of the place, and the city of Palmira next to it, so the official map of the way there is on the airport's page.

The flight search of the airport is the other page you want: it shows the arrivals and the departures of every airline, and you can look for a flight by airline and by the city it comes from or goes to, among Bogotá, Cartagena, Medellín, Neiva, Panama City, Pasto, Puerto Asís, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Santiago, Tumaco and Madrid.

What happens when you arrive at Cali Airport

The airport has been under maintenance since Aerocivil took over: the works have covered the boarding bridges, the conveyor belts, the platforms, the runway, the taxiways and the visual aids, and the operator says the service to the passengers has gone on without interruptions.

A new baggage handling system is on the way, together with new boarding bridges at the domestic terminal, so the way the bags arrive can still change while the works go on.

Cali Airport with children

Inside the terminal there is WiFi and a food area, and the flight information of the airport is on its own page, so you can look for your flight and see its status while the children wait.

Keep the passports and the children's documents in your carry-on bag, not in the checked luggage, and come early: the works on the platforms and the belts mean it is better to have time in hand.

Plan your stop at Cali Airport

The airport is changing: Aerocivil runs it since September 1, 2025 and is getting the airport ready, with a modernization package for 2026 to 2030. Check with the airline and with the airport's own site before you travel, and check with the consulate about the documents your family needs for the entry rules of every country on your route.
