The terminals at Seoul Incheon Airport
Incheon International Airport has two passenger terminals:
- Terminal 1 serves the low cost carriers and most of the foreign airlines, including Jeju Air and Eastar Jet.
- Terminal 2 serves the Korean airlines, including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jin Air and Air Seoul.
The airport's own site has a tool that takes your flight number and tells you which terminal you use, so check the terminal on your ticket before you travel, because the airline assignment can change.
Getting to and from Seoul Incheon Airport
The Airport Railroad (AREX) is the fastest way into Seoul: it runs from the airport to Seoul Station, and the ticket counters are in the basement of both terminals. The station at the airport also connects with the bus lines and the taxis, and a free shuttle bus runs between the two terminals, so a family does not have to carry the bags far.
What happens when you arrive at ICN
Keep your passport and any form you filled in on the plane with you the whole way, from the aircraft door to the exit, and check the terminal on your ticket before you travel.
Seoul Incheon Airport with children
The free shuttle bus between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 is the easy way to change terminals with the family, and the Airport Railroad station is inside the terminal, so the children do not have to walk across a road. Keep a snack and water within reach for the wait.
Plan your stop at Seoul Incheon Airport
Terminals, airlines and arrival procedures change, so check with the airline and the airport's own site before you travel. And check with the embassy or consulate about the documents your family needs for the entry rules of every country on your route.
