The terminals at Milan Malpensa Airport
Milan Malpensa Airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and the Airport Bus is the free shuttle service that joins them, so you do not have to walk from one to the other. In Terminal 2 there is also the Fast Track, a contactless lane: one tap and you are through the security check.
The airport is in the municipalities of Somma Lombardo and Ferno, in the province of Varese, north of Milan. The airport's own site has the digital map and a search for a service, so you can find the gate, the check-in desks or the services of the terminal on your phone before you land.

The buses from Milano Centrale have an overall frequency of 20 minutes and four operators run them: Terravision, Malpensa Bus Express, Malpensa Shuttle and Caronte. Milan Malpensa Airport with children
The free shuttle between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 saves you the walk with a stroller and a bag, and in Terminal 2 the Fast Track is contactless, so one tap is enough and the family does not have to queue long at the security check.
Before you travel, look for your terminal in the airport map and for the services near it, and keep the passports and the children's documents in your carry-on bag, not in the checked luggage.
Plan your stop at Milan Malpensa Airport
Check with the airline and with the airport's own site before you travel: the terminal of your flight, the airlines and the arrival procedures change, and the airport keeps its own news about the works. And check with the embassy or the consulate about the documents your family needs for the entry rules of every country on your route.
