The terminals at Boston Airport

Boston Logan International Airport has four passenger terminals, A, B, C and E. Each one has ticketing, the baggage claim, the ground transportation services, the free Wi-Fi and the food and the shops. More than 40 airlines fly nonstop to over 100 domestic and international destinations.

The terminals are connected to the Central Parking Garage by a pedestrian walkway, and Terminal B has its own parking garage. Public transportation runs through the whole campus with the free On-Airport Shuttle bus system, and there is free Silver Line bus service to South Station in downtown Boston.

Getting to and from Boston Airport

The MBTA Blue Line subway connects downtown Boston directly to the airport, and the Blue Line also meets the Orange Line at State Street and the Green Line at Government Center. When you reach Airport Station, the terminals are a free shuttle ride away: take the Route 88 bus.

The free On-Airport Shuttle buses run inside the airport and generally every 5 to 6 minutes. The Route 11, 55, 66 and 88 serve all four terminals, the Route 22 serves Terminals A and B, and the Route 33 serves Terminals C and E. The Route 66 also goes to the Water Transportation Dock, where the water ferry and the water taxis are, and the Route 88 runs 24 hours.

What happens when you arrive at BOS

Keep your passport and any form you filled in on the plane with you the whole way, from the aircraft door to the exit.

The customer service agents are available every day from 6 AM to 10 PM, and the airport publishes its alerts on the work underway on the airfield, so it is worth reading them before you travel.

Boston Airport with children

Each terminal has a Kidport play area for the little travellers and for the adults to unwind in before or after a flight: one in Terminal A by Gate A18, two in Terminal B, and one in Terminal C. Every terminal also has a nursing and nursery room with a changing counter, a fold-down seat and a sink, and the assisted-care restrooms are before and after security in all the terminals.

Leave the passports and the children's documents in your carry-on bag, not in the checked luggage, so you have them at passport control. And the airport's own customer service line is open from 6 AM to 10 PM every day if you need help with the stroller or the bags.

Plan your stop at Boston Airport

Check the terminal on your ticket, because the free shuttle and the public buses serve them differently, and read the airport's alerts before you travel. And check with the embassy or consulate about the documents your family needs for the entry rules of every country on your route.
